The awareness of human beings on the status and function of forestry in the whole national economy is expatiated in detail. The theoretical basis, objectives and tasks, the existing problems and countermeasures of forestry ecological engineering system construction in the three north plain areas are analyzed, and some practicable suggestions for forestry ecological engineering system construction are proposed in the paper.
