TFP,Technological Choice and the Economic Growth of the Yangtze Delta

本文在对有关TFP及近年来一些学者对东亚以及中国地区全要素生产率(TFP)估计和技术路径选择的讨论进行回顾和总结的基础上,从基础数据和新古典理论模型出发,估算了长三角地区1978-2003年的全要素生产率变动情况,分析了技术进步与技术效率[1]变动趋势与长三角地区经济增长的关系。同时,结合资本-劳动与产出-劳动比率的变化考察了长三角地区的技术选择情况,并尝试在以上研究基础之上,得出一些有意义的结论。

Based on the review of Total Factor Productivity （TFP） theory, the estimation of TFP m East Asia and especially China, and the discussion on technological approach choice, this paper starts with basic data and neoclassic model and estimates the change of TFP in the Yangtze Delta from 1978 to 2003. The paper analyzes the relationship between technological advance as well as changes in technological efficiency and the regional economic growth. Meanwhile, the paper examines the technological choice in the Yangtze Delta based on the changes in both capital- labor ratio and output- labor ratio and lastly attempts to draw some significant conclusions.
