The breakthroughs in contemporary science ＆ epistemological transformation in basic laws and categories of technology is essentially one in ideology. By the same token, technology have greatly advanced the philosophy. Revolution in science ＆ the revolution in modem science ＆ technology is one in productive forces. Thus Deng Xiaoping＇s Theory of Productive-force Level is an important development of Marxism. When science and technology turn means for material interests, they go beyond traditional values. The interaction between science ＆ technology in practice and the reconstruction of ethics is, therefore, an important theme in developing contemporary philosophy, which aims, with renewed foundation and spirit of a universal ethics, to shelter human souls in an age of material desires.
