减反射膜对半导体激光器阈值特性的影响

摘要 考虑到减反射膜最低反射处波长λ与介质增益峰处波长λg可能会不同,以及低反区具有一定的波带宽度这两个因素后,计算了减反射膜对半导体激光器(LD)阈值特性的影响。结果表明,LD振荡波长与增益峰处波长不同,振荡阈值也低于由最低反射率决定的理论阈值。 Considering the wavelength′s differences bdtween minimum reflectivify and gain peak,as well as the finite spectral width of the reflectivity at the AR coated facet,the effects of AR coatings on the threshold characteristics of the semiconductor lasers are studied.Results indicate that the laser may oscillate at a different wavelength from the gain peak with a lower threshold than that dictated by the minimum reflectivity.
