摘要
提出了一种指纹图象的数据压缩方法．该方法采用动态门限对指纹图象进行二值化，门限的选择过程具有一定的学习功能，然后利用指纹图象本身所固有的性质。
This paper aims to give a data compression method for fingerprint image. In this method, a dynamic threshold is used to transform the given fingerprint image into a binary image. The choice of threshold can offer certain learning ability. Through using the properties of fingerprints, the image can be thinned by tracing the ridges in fingerprint image.
