摘要
图象编码技术已逐步趋向成熟,出现了JPEG等国际标准;采用ATM的宽带通信网络的发展,对图象编码提出了新的要求。本文根据ATM网络的特点,结合人眼的视觉特性,提出一种与现有JPEG标准兼容、适用于ATM网络的彩色图象分层编码方案。
Digital image coding technologies have been developing, and have led to the appearance of international standards for image coding, such as JPEG. Along with the development of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) broadband network technology, new demands have been made on image coding methods. This paper presents a Layered image coding scheme, which is compatible with JPEG baseline codecs and is based on ATM networks and human visual properties.
