On Applying ESP Mode to English Teaching of Higher Vocational Colleges

目前高职英语教学人仍在沿用普通高校的英语教学模式,尚未形成自己的特色,在学生调查和初步分析ESP教学模式的基础上,指出该模式与高职教育培养目标一致,将ESP引入高职英语教学,提高了高职英语教学效率。

English teaching mode in higher vocational colleges should be different from that in general educational institutions. But the present situation is that there is no difference between the two. The author, based on a preliminary analysis of ESP mode and a questionnaire, found the compatibility of ESP with the cultivating goals higher vocational education. This article holds that applying ESP mode to the English teaching in vocational colleges will improve the teaching efficiency tremendously.
