This paper offers a brief introduction of comprehensive evaluation method and application environment, composition and advantages of FMS. It also takes the example of flexible machining pro duction line for sewing machine shell and bottom board to introduce the design and application of com prehensive evaluation method in detail. Comprehensive evaluation method applied to large production line is exemplified to be feasible and effective.
