In project structural design, how to handle the roofing cant beam is an essential question of keeping away from potential security problems. With a contrasting analysis of the nature of beam and column, this paper elaborates on their differences and relations. Furthermore, by a comparison of the results obtained from different structural analysis software, this paper explains the reasonable realization of roofing cant beam from the project practice angle.
