The construction of the first in China 50-kt/a hexane-1 unit was kicked off at Yanshan Petrochemical Company. This unit will adopt the packaged process technology of producing hexane-1 through ethylene trimerization developed by SINOPEC independently. The startup of this unit is slated for the end of 2006. The Yanshan Petrochemical Company has completed the compilation of the PDP for the package technology of the 500 t/a pilot unit and the 50 kt/a unit,
