明末历局的开设及其组织编译《崇祯历书》和引进西方天文仪器,使中国的天文学走上了与世界天文学共同发展的道路。西方传教士也借进入历局参与修历的机会,得以深入宫廷传教,并使明末天主教在华传播事业在“南京教案”之后重新振兴。

In the end of the Ming Dynasty, the calendar bureau was opened and organized to translate ＂the Chong Zhen Calendar almanac＂ and introduce the western astronomy instrument, and this caused China s astronomy to step onto the communal development path with the world astronomy. The western missionary also took the opportunity of entering the calendar bureau to participate in repairing the calendar, and they could go down to the palace to do missionary work, and caused Catholicism＇s dissemination enterprise in China enrooted after ＂ Nanjing church case ＂ in the end of the Ming Dynasty.
