A novel unique bisesquiterpenoid, biatractylolide (1), together with two new sesquiterpenoids and other eight compounds was isolated from the Chinese traditional herb medicine Atractylodes marocephala Koidz, mp 210-212℃, (. 0. 02,CHCl3), molecular weight 462, formula C,.,H,C30H38 O4. The structure of (1) was elucidated by NMR, 1H-1HCOSY, HMQC, HMBC and ROESY and so on, and confirmed by Xray analysis.
