A Fast Median Filtering Algorithm for Image Processing

提出了一种基于灰度图象的二维中值滤波快速算法．该算法每次只考虑滑动窗中移出和移入的数据，避免了传统算法中因排序所需的大量数据比较，该算法比较次数仅与前后两次窗口中值的差值成正比．通过在计算机上对一幅１２８×１２８（２５６灰度级）的Ｌｅａｎ图象进行模拟，快速算法比传统方法在处理速度上有较大提高，尤其滑动窗口尺寸较大时（５×５或７×７），效果更加明显．

A Kind of new fast median filterin algorithm is put forward.The number of comparisons in the algorithm is directly proportional to the difference of median between the old window and the new one,and the algorithm avoids a large number of data comparison in the conventional algorithm.With computer simulation,the algorithm ho greatly increased the processing speed.
