Quite many love dramas display the sexual urge of women, but the existent literary research often neglects the physiological conditions. There have been records of love-indulging crazy women and analyses of women＇s physiological conditions in ancient medical literature. Literature and history jointly prove the non-hu- manistic coldness in traditional Chinese culture. The individual experience such as dreams about sex and sorrowful feelings due to long separations reflect the long-neglected sex conditions in the over-all ecology of ancient women. The research of love literature should give a rational analysis of women＇s sexual urge by drawing on the scientific methods.
