Many critics and commentary articles argue that the writer has applied the technique of narrating from the children＇s perspective to reflect the hying condition on special social background in Cry in Drizzle. This paper demonstrates a different point of view in respect of children＇s way of thinking, speech of the characters and text language in this novel as well as the novel＇s content. The paper argues that the writer has no intention of bringing in the technique of children＇ perspective. If any, it is a failure. The narrating angle in this novel is actually a combination of the third-person omniscient narrator and the limited omniscient narrator.
