To Develop Philosophy in Comparison

本文认为,哲学的创新发展是在中西哲学的比较中实现的。开展中西哲学的比较研究不仅是中国哲学发展的需要,也是西方传统哲学走出目前处境的要求。本文还提出在开展中西哲学比较研究时面临的理论难点,并对解决这些难点的办法作了初步思考。

The author argues that the innovative development of philosophy is realized in comparisons between Chinese and Western philosophy. To make comparative study of Chinese and Western philosophy is not only the need of the development of Chinese philosophy but also the demand of Western philosophy for getting out of the present situation. The author also points out the theoretical difficulties in the comparative studies and proposes the preliminary solutions.
