This paper presents the design and test device of the ceramic insulating head cylinder plate for Model B6135 Z adiabatic turbocompound diesel engine. The component design criteria and the subject matter of design of ceramic head cylinder plate for the adiabatic engine, the test device and method to examine the head plate are recounted in this paper. Finally, the problems existing in the early period of research work are indicated and the suggestions for improvement are also given.
