The Working Mechanism of the Unidirectional Mapping of Synaesthesia

通感是一种语言现象，也是一种认知现象，有着生理学和心理学基础。通感现象是物理现象作用于人体而产生的生理和心理效应，是不同感官之间的经验映射。通感的哲学基础是“肉体哲学”，它的认知机制与隐喻相同。其单向映射规律是由各感觉器官的发育时间的先后顺序决定的。

Synaesthesia,a phenomenon of language as well as a phenomenon of cognition,is based on physiology and psychology. The sameness of the basic unit of brain--neurons,which makes the areas of brain integrated,is the neuropsychological base. The emergence of the attribute of one thing accompanied with that of another one is the physical base,which causes the fixed relationship between different sensory organs. Synaesthesia is physiological and psychological effect caused by physical phenomena acting on our body. And it is experiential mapping between sensory organs. The mechanism of synaesthsia is the same as metaphor based on the embodied philosophy. The law of its unidirectional mapping is determined by sequence of time in which different sensory organs reach mature in time order.
