This paper summarizes different opinions about and ＂guan di ge＂, and points out their defects from the perspective of history and linguistics. It is thought that the ＂di ge＂ in ＂guan di ge＂ in Wu Bamboo Slips is an alternative name of warehouse, while ＂guan di ge＂ is the official in charge of warehouses. This paper also gives new explanations to ＂guan＂.
