摘要
为了解中国英语学习者掌握英语形-名搭配知识的程度,本研究采用横断研究设计方案,设计了三类形-名搭配的接受卷和产出卷,对中级偏下、高级偏下和高级水平的受试进行测试。研究发现:(1)受试总体上未能很好掌握英语的形-名搭配;(2)不同水平的受试之间和同一水平层次内对英语形-名搭配知识的接受性掌握存在差异;(3)不同水平受试之间和同一水平层次内对英语形-名搭配知识的产出性掌握也存在差异;(4)从英语形-名搭配知识的接受性掌握到产出性运用是一个缓慢的发展过程。
The present study attempts to provide a profile of Chinese EFL learners' acquisition of English adjective-noun collocations. Using the cross-sectional research design, the researchers designed a test to examine the reception and production of three different types of English adjective-noun collocations by three groups of subjects at different proficiency levels. The results show that (1) in general the subjects do not appear to have a good command of English adjective-noun collocations, (2) there is a gap between and within different groups of subjects in their receptive knowledge of the adjective-noun collocations, (3) differences exist between and within different groups of subjects in their productive use of English adjective-noun collocations, and (4) the transformation from receptive knowledge into productive skills appears to be a slow and gradual process.
