This article introduces the status of DSL network and the requirements coming from broadband services. Then the evolution of DSLAM and the architecture of DSL network are discussed. The conversion from ATM aggregation to Ethernet aggregation of DSL network to satisfy the requirements of new services is discussed, This article also discusses the key technologies used in the new DSL network, e,g, VLAN, QoS, muhicast.
