Female Tragedies in Male-Dominated Culture:Female Figures in Su Tong's Novel

本文从苏童小说文本入手,细致分析苏童小说中的女性形象,以此洞悉苏童小说中女性在男权文化中的生存状态,解读苏童小说中女性对男权的依附意识,可以看出苏童作为男性作家对女性命运的深切同情和反思,表现出可贵的对女性生存的探索精神。同时也可看出苏童小说中女性反抗意识的缺失,以及他在透视女性悲剧命运、反思男权文化方面存在的不足。

This paper examines the female figures and their living conditions in a male-dominated culture in Su Tong＇s novel in order to understand why these female figures have a tendency to rely on male power. Su Tong as a male writer has made valuable efforts to sympathize with women and display their unrelenting pursuit for life. The female figures in his writing, however, were lack of a rebellious quality. This indicates that the writer still has a shortcoming in his reflections of a male-dominated culture with the use of women＇s tragedies.
