中美大学理念简析

Analysis of the Philosophy of Chinese and American Colleges

19世纪，美国人在改革美国大学时，创造性地融合了不同的大学模式和理念。将大学这一中世纪兴起的古老制度与现代社会的需求结合起来，形成了独具特色的美国大学。我们在改革中国现有的大学、创办世界一流大学的过程中，应该以美国人的创新精神来思考我国大学应当具有的理念。

In the 19th century, American creatively mixed the different college patterns and ideas when they reformed American colleges. They combined the ancient system which arose from Middle-Ages with the demand of modern society,and developed the unique American college style. In the process of our reforming the existing Chinese colleges and constructing the first-class colleges in the world,we may consider the philosophy what we should have according to the American creative spirit.
