论唐代诗人的边缘心态与“谪仙”称谓之关系

On The Intellectuals' Title of “Banished Immortal” in Tang Dynasty

“谪仙”原是道教对于被谪人间的神仙的称谓,但是这一道教称谓在唐代士林中也被普遍借用。这一现象的出现表面上是唐代士人道教信仰的反映,实则缘于唐代士人对于“谪仙”边缘品格的共鸣,使得处在主流和社会中心之外的大多数士子们在失态失意时,还能得到心理安慰。

The title ＂Banished immortal＂ refers to the Taoist immortal who is exiled from the Taoist Heaven to the human world due to some perceived defect. This Taoist title is also borrowed generally by the intellectuals in the Tang Dynasty. The adopted use of the term not only reflects the Taoist belief of the intellectuals in the Tang Dynasty, but also results from their sympathizing with the banished immortal＇ fringe character. It also indicates the secularization of Taoist immortal concept in Tang Dynasty.
