晏殊以北宋重臣身份行文学侍臣之役,虽无笔禁、却有心累。其词以诗韵入之,得诗骚之敦厚,又兼词作之委婉清新。诗词相长,互为表里,开拓以诗为词之先。

As an important court minister, Yan Shu performed the function of an official in charge of literature. He was not forbidden to writing, but very tired internally. In a tactful and pure way, his ci poems are full of natural rhymes and sincere with poetic excellence. His poems and ci poems benefit each other and are interlinked. He is the forerunner who connected poems with ci poems.
