The translation and rotation movement of the screen in an automobile navigation device are driven by a single-motor driving system composed of a gear-rack transmission mechanism combined with a pair of 4 - bar system which provide a smooth movement as well as a reliable support. The mechanism of the device and some design consideration are described.
