This paper introduces the structure, characteristics and main functions of the Jinshuitan cascade dispatching system and the demerits of the old system, and analyzes emphatically the application of the key technologies of remote control and regulation, network communication, EDC of cascade hydropower plants, etc. to the Jinshuitan cascade dispatching system.
