Clinical significance of estrogen receptorβin breast cancer

雌激素受体(ER)α在乳腺癌的发生发展中起重要作用。ERβ的出现,使人们对雌激素在乳腺组织生理及病理变化过程的作用进行了重新评价,为乳腺癌生物学特性的深入研究开辟了新领域,并揭示了一些以往用ERα无法解释的生物学现象。现对ERβ在乳腺癌中的临床意义作一综述。

Estrogen receptor alpha plays an important role in the development and progression of breast cancer, while the emergence of estrogen receptor beta, leads to an intensive re-evaluation of the role of estrogens in normal physiological and pathological processes in breast tissue. It develops a new area for further research on the biological behavior of breast cancer, and reveals some biological phenomena which estrogen receptor alpha can not explain, especially in endocrine therapy and poor prognosis. Now what follows is a review of what is known so far about this new receptor in clinical significance in breast cancer.
