Foreign direct investment （FDI） is the accelerator of econo, nic globalization , It has made indelible contributions to the development of Ningbo ＇ s economy in the past years, lion,ever,there still exist some problems in making use of FDI when it has brought the positive effect on economy.Tiffs paper, through the detailed statistical analysis of FDI＇s data in Ningbo from its refonn and opening, demonstrates FDI＇s current situation,discusses its effect on Ningbo＇s economic development, analyzes its problems existed,and finally puts forward sonic ideas and strategies on how to make good use of FDI in future in order to improve the FDI＇ s quality, to upgrade industrial structure and promote its optimization,and to achieve economic sustainable development in Ningbo.
