摘要
Although Ningbo is a large port city on the Hangzhou Bay, Zhejiang Province, locals tend to believe this characterization needs amplification. They are quick to point to the fact that though Ningbo is administratively subsidiary to the provincial capital of Hangzhou, it is one of the fourteen quasi-provincial cities in China and on many economic indicators it rivals, or exceeds, Hangzhou.
