摘要
本文首先介绍了WiMAX的技术基础IEEE802.16系列标准的制定及发展现状,并着重对该标准的媒体访问控制子层和物理层的技术特点进行了分析。文章将用于构建WLAN的IEEE802.11系列标准与用于构建WMAN的IEEE802.16系列标准进行了比较。在文章最后,作者描述了WiMAX技术的应用场景,尝试性提出了WiMAX的几点应用并对该项技术做了展望。
Firstly,the developing actuality and constituting process of IEEE series standard 802.16 that is the base of the technology of the WiMAX are introduced in this paper.Simultaneously, the article places emphasis on the characteristic analysis of media access control layer and physical layer about IEEE 802.16. Secondly, IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.16 are compared detailed by the author that the former and the latter are respectively used to build broadband WLAN and WMAN. At the end of the article, the author depicts the application scene of the WiMAX and puts forward several piece of practical scheme tentatively. The auther also makes an outlook on the WiMAX.
