Cultural Construction in the Harmonious Society of China

在构建中国特色社会主义和谐社会的过程中,文化建设具有基础性、先导性的作用,和谐社会所需要的是一种以传统文化为基础、有别于传统文化复兴的、全新的文化体系。这一文化体系以马克思主义为指导,以市场经济为支撑,以创新、包容为特征。我们必须切实加强和谐文化建设,深化文化体制改革,形成统一、开放、竞争、有序的现代化文化市场体系。

Cultural construction plays the role of foundation and guidance in the course of establishing socialist harmonious society. What harmonious society need is such a brand-new kind of cultural system, which is built on the foundation of traditional culture and more other than traditional cultural rejuvenation. This cultural system regards Marxism as guidance and regards market economy as strong point and regards innovation and lenience as features. We must strengthen cultural construction, deepen the culture system reform and constitute the modern culture market system which takes unified, competitive, ordered and open as character.
