On Reconstructing Female Subjectivity in The Color Purple

当代著名美国黑人女作家艾丽丝.沃克的《紫颜色》已经成为当代西方女性主义文学经典。她提出了“妇女主义”理论,重视文学创作中黑人女性话语,体现了黑人妇女寻求自我个性与在逆境中保持人的尊严的主题,指出了黑人女性只有建立具有女性特质的语言,在相互交流中找到属于自己独特的声音,才能颠覆父权话语,发现新的自我,重建女性主体。

The black writer Alice Walker＇s novel The Color Purple takes the important place in the history of women literature. She advanced the theory of Womanism, paying attention to black woman＇s discourse in literary creation, exploring the awakening of self-consciousness of the three heroines. It also embodies the theme of black women seeking for personalities and self-esteem in predicament. It is therefore concluded that only by finding a feminine language and a unique voice in communication with women friends can black women subvert the patriarchal discourse so as to reconstruct their female subjectivity
