With improvement of intraocular lens material and accumulation of clinical experience. Recent advances of phakic angle-supported intraocular lens has made this refractive surgical technique safe,effective, very predictable, reversible, keeping accommodation and little hurt to the corneal endothelium. Due to their advantages, implantation of angle-supported anterior chamber phakic intraocular lens will be one of the popular refractive surgery and will enlarge his clinical use as a new refractive surgical technique in the future. The history of this surgery, design of the intraocular lens, its indication and contraindication, preoperative and postoperative management, recognition and management of complications etc were reviewed.
