Since the experimental work of supervision and law enforcement of soil conservation was conducted in 1992, 26 provinces and 2 municipalities with independent plan have enacted implementation ways for soil and water conservation law, some provinces and cities have formulated charge ways as well; supervision and law enforcement organizations for soil conservation have been set up in 12 provinces, 122 prefectures and 1015 counties, and there are 62 thousand fulltime and part-time worker for supervision and law enforcement. During experimental period,32463 soil conservation plans have examined and approved in all county, 2000 cases were dealed with and more than 55 mution yuan for prevention and compensation of soil conservation were collected during experimental period. The construction units have cost 468 million yuan for soil loss control. Urban supervision and law enforcementof soil conservation has brought great attention of all parties concerned.
