In this paper, the author studies how to solve the contradiction of keeping low inventory and high speed of response in Build-to-order supply chain （ BOSC）, summarizes the management method in BOSC on the basis of the literatures before. At last, since there is lack of research on the implementation of BOSC, the author introduces the successful building of BOSC in Dell.
