此种为害荔枝叶片，在广州从化县发现。模式标本保存在华南农业大学植保系。
In this paper a species of pyralid moths is described as new. The species is a very serious pestof lichee tree in South China. All the type specimen are preserved in the South China AgticulturalUniversity.Sacada erythorcephala Wu et Cui, n. sp.Holotype ♂, Alloty♀, Conghua County Guangdon province, 1987- 5- 15, Wu Lifan.Paratypes 4 ♂♂, 5♀♀, from Conghua County Guangdon Provineo, 1987 - 5- 15, WuLifan.Body medium in size. Body length:♂ 10 mm. ♀14 mm. Wing expense: ♂24 mm, ♀33 mmEntire fore wing yellowish brown, two oblique markings in the form of regular dark brown.Antenna: ♀string, long and slender;♂plume.The genitalia and additional characters are described.Host: Lychee and Longan
