Objective: To observe the catheter-related infection(CRI) events after percutaneous central venous catheterization, and search for the causative factors. Methods: Clinical data of 178 cases with percutaneous central venous catheterization were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The incidence of CRI (4. 5%) was lower than the average nosocomial infection rate (5 %). The main pathogens were staphylococcus aureus. The occurrence of infection was closely related to the duration of catheterization, patient's immune function, aseptic manipulation and long-term total parental nutrition. Conclusion: Central venous catheter-related infection must be paid attention.
