黎萨尔的选择与矛盾——东方现代民族主义文学的一个个案研究

黎萨尔为菲律宾民族解放运动奋斗终生,他的人生选择是一个民族英雄的选择。但他在选择过程中充满着迷茫和矛盾,在对待民族灾难的态度、对待祖国和人民的情感、对待民族解放道路的探索等方面都体现出困惑与矛盾。黎萨尔选择的矛盾,可以从现实文化要求、对西方与本土文化的认识、文化价值自身的矛盾等方面加以认识。黎萨尔思想的矛盾也体现在艺术表现上,主要是在表达方式上的客观叙述与主观抒情和情节结构上的集中封闭与发散扩张这两个方面。

Jose Rizal devoted his whole life to Philippine national liberation movement. However, the process of his choosing his path of life was full of confusion and contradiction represented in his attitude towards the national disaster, in his love for his country and people, and in the way that he groped for the national liberation. We should understand Jose Rizal＇s choice in light of the requirement of reality, both the Western and native cultures and the contradiction in cultural values. The contradiction in Jose Rizal＇s thought is also represented in art, especially in the contraction between objective narration and subjective expression of feelings and between the close and open structures of the plot arrangement.
