English is a language with a widest vocabulary in the world. Meanwhile, it has enormous synonyms. In order to understand them accurately, synonymous relations are worth a problem of academic research.The thesis probes it and concludes that synonyms are mostly similar in particular basic meanings, but quite different in the semantic content of a sentence, types or manners of writing or speaking, and so on based on some semantic theories, such as triadic semantic theory and semantic antinomy. The differences between them are the critical groups that we distinguish them.
