CONCEPTS AND EXPLORATIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW TOWN OF ROPPONGI HILLS IN TOKYO

为解决东京城市中心平面过密、立体过疏,以及由于职住分离造成的通勤距离过长、郊区成为睡城等城市问题,东京六本木丘新城规划集居住、娱乐、办公为一体,积极构筑高度复合化的新型城市,从而促进了城市可持续性发展,提高了作为国际城市的竞争力。

In order to solve problems of Tokyo city such as over crowded horizontally but too sparse in vertically.and the issues ,such as too long traffic lines,suburb areas became＂sleeping cities＂brought by the separation of living and working,the re-development of ROPPONGL HILLS new town attempts to take functions of habitation,entertainment,businss as a whole to create a highly integrated new ctiy therefore promote the sustainable development and competitive ablity of the international city.
