With the methods of domument and social investigation,it made an analysis and a discussion of the social benefits,which will be brought into Qingdao city by its holding Olympic Sailing Regatta in 2008. It has been shown that the preparation of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Regatta has accelerated the development of economy of Qingdao, promoted the construction of the city＇s infrastructure, the city＇s culture and spiritual civilization, the raised the level d civilization, push forward the activity of fitness for all, raised the citizen quality, improved a healthy society and promoted the social life quality. The holding of Olympic Sailing Regatta will bring about a prdound influence on Qingdao to benefit for the people and the city.
