本文分析了建筑表皮的本体意义，沿着历史的纵断面对建筑表皮的产生、发展作了回顾，对建筑表皮的主要材料-玻璃的热物理及光学特性进行了详细分析，从当代建筑思潮及技术发展两个层面对建筑表皮及玻璃幕墙进行了剖析，结合近年来建筑技术、智能技术及材料技术的发展以及生态思潮的影响，同时也结合作者近年来从事的生态幕墙的实验研究，对当代建筑表皮及玻璃幕墙的最新动态进行了分析，最后得出结论：建筑表皮应该成为不良气候的过滤器。

This article discusses about the identical meanings of the skin of architecture, gives an introduction it＇s develop history, analyzed the physical characteristics of the main material of architecture skin-glass, discusses the skin of architecture and glass curtain walling from the two angles of contemporary architectural theories and technologies. Together with recent years＇ development of architecture, intelligent and material technology, the author analyzes the new trends of glass curtain walling thus gives his own opinion that the skin of architecture should be a filter to unfriendly climate.
