The article is an investigation of the early career of Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and the change of his role from journalist/script writer to architect,Bytracing the formative years of his ideas and methodology be fore 1978-the year of the publication of ＂Delirious New York＂,as well as the flgures from whom he learns and makes references,it aims to illustrate the impact of koolhaas＇s strategy on contemporary urbanism and architectural discourse and reveal his hidden agenda.
