A Comparative Study of PDH、SDH and SONET Technologies

作者首先从理论上对准同步数字系列（ＰＤＨ）、同步数字系列（ＳＤＨ）、同步光纤网（ＳＯＮＥＴ）作了技术比较，并对ＳＤＨ和ＳＯＮＥＴ在传输速率、复用结构、映射方式、开销比特等方面作了理论比较和研究。为ＰＤＨ向ＳＤＨ／ＳＯＮＥＴ过渡（在其过渡初期，ＰＤＨ和ＳＤＨ／ＳＯＮＥＴ需共存）。

In this paper,the theoretical comparison of PDH and SDH/SONET is firstly given.The theoretical differences and compatibility between PDH and SONET technologies as well as their transport rate、multiplexing structure、payload mapping and overhead bytes are also discussed.These comparisons and analyses provide a theoretical basis for effectively interworking between SONET/SDH and PDH equipment in practical network planning.
