希腊家具与埃及家具是欧洲古典家具的两大源泉。古代希腊家具的魅力就 在于造型适合人类生活的要求,实现了功能与形式美的的统一,体现出自由、活泼 的气质,立足于实用而不过分追求装饰,具有比例适宜、线型简洁流畅、造型轻巧 的特点。 希腊文明给人最突出的印象是城邦(Polis),它是一种典型的城市文明,城市公共事 务的发展和公民意识的成长培育了健康的"希腊精神"。我们从希腊文明的视角来认识希腊 家具,体会到深刻的人文启示:人类只有在自身的进步中与大自然和谐共处、与万物共生 共荣才能色可持续地发展,我们居住的这个星球也才会真正成为人类的天堂。

The two sources of western classical fumiure were Greek fumitmure and Egypt furniture. The charm of ancient Greek furniture was the shape which was suitable for the needs of human riving and was the unity between the fimctions and the aesthetics in the forms. Therefore, ancient Greek fumiture reflected the free and vigorous qualifies, which were based on the practicable rules and not over decorating. Ancient Greek furniture had the following characteristics： rational proporgon, simple and easy lines, fight hi weight and elegant ha shape. Greek civilization was the pofis civilization which was a typical city civilization. The developments of the common affairs and the growth of civil consciousness cultivated the healththl reek Spirits. From the views of Greek civilization, we study the Greek fumiture which makes us to legalize the profound humanistic eulightenments that is we may not have the heaven in the earth unless we can know how to five with Mother Narrate.
