The field of architectural practice in china over the past two decades has proviaed its young architects with a superb stage for their performance. The super-massive and super-speedy construction, together with its resulting changes in the urban culture and reconsideration on creative design of contemporary archit ecture with Chinese charactenstics, have confromted the young architects with an unprecedented reformation of a dual trial of both their design deas and professionalsm. our magazine, persisting on its cencem for the activities of young architects, is going to introduce and recommend a number of creative and active young architects and their works in this current issue.
