This paper describes the urban regeneration in Manchester and focuses on 3 typieal areas in order to explain more details in the view of urban planning and design.According to the study of canals regeneration,the author tries to analyze the meaning of building conservation,refurbishment and extension,rebuilding in the city development,and the development strategy of dot,line,face.
