On Ontological Presupposition of Logical Empiricism

逻辑经验主义的理论纲领确立于现代逻辑主义与传统经验主义的结合,这一结合构成逻辑经验主义理论构建所依托的本体论预设。逻辑经验主义后来所陷的理论困难,虽然表现为源于逻辑困难,但实质上源于这一本体论预设本身固有的理论上的困难。

The theoretical framework of logical empiricism was based on the combination of modern logicism with traditional empiricism. This combination provided the ontological presupposition on which logical empiricism relied. So the theoretical embarrassment that logical empiricism confronts subsequently did not originate from the logic but the inherent handicap of the ontological presupposi- tion of logical empiricism.
