论英语语篇中的人际意义衔接

人际意义反映言语参与者之间的社会关系和社会交际性,并表达话语主体的态度、情感及价值观念等主观性因素。人际意义的分布像音乐旋律一样,在语篇中呈非离散状态,主旋律的形成借助于次旋律之间的和谐,这种和谐性就是语篇人际意义的衔接性和整体性。本文从语法、词汇及语音层面分别探讨了语气、情态、态度词汇和语调通过不同形式的衔接所体现的语篇层面的人际意义,同时指出,语篇内同样存在着同层次或不同层次间的跨类衔接,正是衔接把语篇整合为一个人际意义整体。

Interpersonal meanings reflect social communication and social roles between participants in speech and express the speaker＇s attitudes, feelings and values. Interpersonal meanings are non-discrete in text like prosody in music. The harmonic tone of interpersonal meanings is called interpersonal cohesion. The article presents the interpersonal cohesion realized by mood, modality, attitudinal lexis, and tone independently at lexical, grammatical and phonetic levels. At the same time, there is the interpersonal cohesion between classes, even between levels. They are interwoven into an interpersonally harmonic text.
